After leading the school for three years, Dr. Alfonso Carmona has resigned from his position as Superintendent of St. Augustine Preparatory in order to be closer to his family in Chicago. Over the last two years of his tenure, the school underwent major growth from 560 to 1,300 students and is set to return 95 percent of students and 90 percent of faculty. For more information regarding the transition, please refer to a letter from Gus Ramirez announcing Dr. Carmona’s departure as well as the English and Spanish press releases.
